Jisoo: The year seems to have gone by very quickly. Just like how we're not completely satisfied with our work after each performance, we feel the same about this year. But because we've accomplished things that we've dreamed about, like performing on stage, I also feel pleased
Jennie: It's been a year since we've debuted, but it still feels like when we were training and preparing to debut. This is because, while we may have gained a better understanding about things, like the stage, the "start" is really "now". We may not be completely satisfied with this past year, but I look forward to being able to show people more about us
Rosé: This year has passed by like a dream. This is because we've been able to experience a lot of new things in that year and slowly accomplishing the things we've wanted during our trainee days, after our debut. I'm really looking forward to the next year
Lisa: We've made a lot of memories throughout this year. I also look forward to the years ahead of us
Reporter: How would you grade your performance this past year
Jisoo: I'd give ourselves 80 out of 100. I think the other members will say a lower score, so I'm trying to help raise the average *laughs*. We've been able to get more opportunities to interact with our fans during our promotion period. During our "As if it's your last" promotions, we were able to on more radio and variety shows than before as well as go to Japan. Considering our hidden skills, I'd give us an 80
Jennie: I'd give ourselves a 50 out of 100. It's because we've been training for 6 years but we've only been officially promoting for a year. We have so much more to show people, so I'm giving us a low score for now
Rosé: I'd say 55. I feel we haven't been able to properly show the fruits of our labor (***training***) because of lack of overall experience. There is so much more we need to experience and learn for the future. I'd like to learn a lot more from our sunbaes
Lisa: I'd also say 50. I'm not trying to copy Jennie *laughs*. I personally feel a bit lacking since I can't speak that well when we go on TV. I'd like to study more and be able to speak Korean better
Reporter: The thing you remember the most this past year
Jisoo: During 'As if it's your last' promotion, for our first fan event, we personally handed out ice cream to the fans. I liked it since it was the first time we were able to see our fans so closely. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the fans again, for being so happy despite the rain
Jennie: For me, it's when our fans came to the end of the year award ceremonies last year. There weren't a lot, but I was really thankful that they were shouting our names very loudly. I thought, "Now we'd also be able to go around and say that we're idols with fans" and was grateful for that
Rosé: We were able to hold a showcase at the Budokan in Japan and met international fans for the first time. It was the first time we met our Japanese fans, but it was really memorable how much they knew about us
Lisa: For me, it's the pre-recording for our debut stage. Usually fans of the respective groups come to watch and cheer on the groups during pre-recording sessions. Because we were complete rookies, I was worried about whether we'd have any fans but a lot more people than expected showed up. I really felt that there were people who liked us from the beginning and was grateful for that

Reporter: Your appearances on variety shows, such as 'Knowing Bros' and 'Weekly Idol' are a hot topic
Jisoo: It's nice to see a lot of people being able to recognize us. And our fans like it so that makes us happy as well. It's a good opportunity to show off our different charms and it also feels like we've become more close with others
Jennie: Personally, I still feel pressure when it comes to variety shows *laughs*. We don't even feel as though we've perfected how we show ourselves on stage. But I do like how the members are able to show their different charms to more people, through variety shows
Rosé: We still get nervous since we haven't gone on a lot of variety shows. There's a pressure to be funny. But because the cast members take care of us really well, we've been able to participate in the recordings with a bit more ease, despite our nervousness. Thank you
Lisa: We've filmed variety shows like 'Weekly Idol' and 'Knowing Bros', and I like how we're able to slowly show different sides to us, than the one we show to people when on stage
Reporter: What are the members to each other?
Jisoo: It may seem a bit cliché but we've become necessary people to one another; not just for work but also our daily living as well. When we're together, we feel more powerful and confident. I think we've become dependent on one another because we've trained together for a long period of time. It's already been 3 years since we've been living together. We feel lonely when we have individual schedules. We are stronger in all aspects because we're together. When things get tough, I'm able to get through it faster when I'm with the members
Jennie: The members will always be like friends and family to me; because we've been together since our trainee days. Another thing I've felt since we've debuted, is that we're able to support each other well with our different charms. We just can't be broken apart
Rosé: They're really reliable. It's been the four of us during our trainee days and now we just feel as one
Lisa: Without the members, I feel like something is missing. Especially when Jisoo isn't around, we all become quiet *laughs*. We've all become people we can't live without, to each other
Reporter: YG is infamous for being strict when it comes to music...has he complimented you yet
Jisoo: There are times when we're promoting on music shows, as soon as the broadcast ends, he will send us a group message saying "You're always #1 in my heart". Because he doesn't usually give out compliments, it surprises us and we feel grateful each time *laughs*
Jennie: Our CEO seems to be raising us with tough love. I may not seem like the type, but I do get hurt by his comments. But what really surprised me after we debuted was that he told us "You're always #1 in my heart, so work hard". I felt very supported after hearing this. And not too long ago, we were praised for performing well on stage. I was surprised when he told us, "Lately, you've improved"
Rosé: He does feel like a father at times. There are things he does for me as I came from overseas when I was young
Lisa: If I did well on my evaluation during our trainee days, he'd simply say "Good work" but even that made me happy. He always feels father-like. Because I'm also from overseas, he always asks if my parents are well whenever he sees me

Reporter: You'll be starting your official Japan promotions this month. I hear you held a showcase at the Budokan in July
Jisoo: Well it's the first time we're debuting in another country so there's feelings of worry and excitement. There's a lot of pressure because our YG sunbaes are really popular in Japan. But we were grateful to see so many people show up and have an interest in us, We were excited as this will be our first time promoting overseas and we look forward to what the future will bring. We will carry out our promotions with a strong sense of duty to make the fans waiting in Korea proud
Jennie: YG came to our Japan debut showcase. When we finished, he told us that he did well. But I personally wasn't completely satisfied with our performance. I felt that we needed to improve for the future. But of course, the excitement of promoting overseas is greater
Rosé: There was pressure from having to sing in a language other than Korean. But we were glad to see so many people like it. We'd become more fluent in Japanese and other languages, so that we can communicate with fans overseas, like we do with our Korean fans
Lisa: Japan is the first country overseas that we've had our showcase in. We got goosebumps because we were so touched at seeing all the lightsticks and hearing them cheer us on. If we get the opportunity, I'd like to also hold concerts in my home country, Thailand
Reporter: What kind of girl group would you like to be
Jisoo: I'd like to become a group that gives strength to people through our music and performances...adding to the happiness when people are happy and giving comfort when people are down..that sort of girl group
Jennie: My biggest wish is the become an amazing singer, an amazing team and an amazing artist. Whether it's through our music or fashion, I'd like to become an influential girl group...a girl group that others look up to
Rosé: I'd like to become a group that is acknowledged and that fans seek out whenever we come back
Lisa: I'd like for Blackpink to become a girl group that's known throughout the world, so that people would recognize our name wherever we go
Reporter: Something you'd like to say to the fans for your 1st year anniversary
Jisoo: We're thankful for people taking such an interest in us from the very beginning. We've been able to have this much success due to the fans. We'll always work hard to deliver a good performance for the fans. Blackpink will try to always be a group that Blinks can be proud of
Jennie: Thank you. We feel touched everyday for the trust the fans have in us and how we've been able to have this 1 year anniversary because of that. There are feelings of wanting to do even better. And we'd like to keep walking this path together
